Comparison: Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Kleber Dynaxer HP4 vs. Maxxis Premitra HP5

1 mutual test(s) with detailed data

In our latest tyre test, we compared the Pirelli Cinturato P7 with the Kleber Dynaxer HP4, both ideal summer tyres with performance that caught our attention. The Cinturato P7 is a product of Pirelli from Italy, while the Dynaxer HP4 comes from the stable of Kleber.

The Pirelli Cinturato P7 scored 75% in our ratings. Tested in the Autobild 2020 and 2024, its strengths lie in the braking distance and dynamic handling, which made a remarkable impression. At the same time, however, this tyre had deficiencies in terms of mileage and cost-effectiveness. In fact, it was highlighted that the tyre comes at a higher price level. It should be noted that Pirelli has since released a new model to replace the Cinturato P7.

On the other hand, the Kleber Dynaxer HP4 ranked 12th of 51 in the Autobild test, with its comfort and exterior noise frequently praised. Per the Autobild 2024 and 2022 tests, it displayed excellent aquaplaning safety and shorter dry braking distances. Its rolling comfort was also rated positively, contributing to its 74% rating from us. However, it did have some downsides, such as understeering handling and modest mileage. Also, the feedback from the steering was slow, the wet grip was average, and the performance on dry pavement was understeering. Kleber has also replaced this tyre with a new model.

In summary, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Kleber Dynaxer HP4 both have their strengths and weaknesses. While the Pirelli Cinturato P7 is recognized for its superb braking distance and responsive handling, it definitely comes with a higher price tag. The Kleber Dynaxer HP4, meanwhile, offers excellent aquaplaning safety and dry braking distances at a cheaper price point, although handling and mileage could be improved. Overall, while the Pirelli scored an extra point in our review, the choice between the two would ultimately come down to your budget and specific needs.
