Comparison: Nexen N fera Sport vs. Continental SportContact 7

2 mutual test(s) with detailed data

When we compare the Nexen N fera Sport and the Continental SportContact 7, the differences in performance and quality become apparent. Both being summer tyres, they are built for high performance and safe driving in both wet and dry conditions.

Made by Nexen, the N fera Sport has been rated 67% in our review and is especially known for its good performance on dry and wet roads, high mileage prediction, and low fuel consumption. However, it does show some minor weaknesses in drive comfort on dry roads and aquaplaning behaviour. Overall, it's a reliable tyre that was taken as an original equipment for BMW 2-series Active Tourer. Unfortunately, in comparison to Continental SportContact 7 and other tyres, it didn't perform well in tests ranking 8th and 10th out of 10 and 18 tyres respectively.

On the other hand, the SportContact 7 made by Continental, which has replaced previous models such as the SportContact 6, SportContact 5, and SportContact 3, shows an impressive performance, attaining a top rating of 100%. This Ultra-High-Performance (UHP) tyre is best known for its superior dry and wet handling, as well as its excellent braking capabilities both on dry and wet surfaces. The SportContact 7 is truly a high-quality tyre that delivers a balanced and fast drive, although its cornering grip on wet surfaces and increased passing noise could see some improvement. Despite these minor imperfections, this tyre won the first place in multiple tyre tests.

In conclusion, while the Nexen N fera Sport is a decent tyre with good performance and low fuel consumption, it pales in comparison to the supreme performance and test ratings of the Continental SportContact 7. However, the SportContact 7 comes with a slightly increased noise level. In any case, both tyres are high-quality products from reputable manufacturers and would make for a good choice dependent on the driver's needs and preferences.
