Comparison: Michelin Primacy 4 vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 vs. BFGoodrich Advantage vs. Michelin Primacy 5

Today, we are comparing two popular touring summer tyres, the Michelin Primacy 4 and the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2. Both are well-established options in the market, with the Michelin Primacy 4 being introduced as the successor to the Primacy 3 and the Pirelli tyre following the Pirelli P7 Cinturato.

The Michelin Primacy 4 is produced in ES, DE, and PL countries and has a rating of 90% on our platform. It is worth mentioning that this model is replaced with the Michelin Primacy 4+ from the same manufacturer. On the other hand, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 scored 89% and has no newer tyre model replacing it, making it the latest in Pirelli's summer tyre lineup.

Both tyres underwent various tests, but we will focus on mutual positions and test results from Autobild, ADAC, and ADAC 2021. In the Autobild test, the Michelin Primacy 4 ranked 5th out of 53 tyres, while the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 took the 2nd position. The Pirelli tyre particularly excelled in wet braking, securing it as one of the best features in the test.

In the ADAC test, the Michelin Primacy 4 also came in 5th out of 17 tested tyres. The best features of this tyre during the ADAC test were: dry braking, safety, and mileage. Meanwhile, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 ranked 9th in the same test, showing a relatively weaker performance than its competitor.

Another test conducted by ADAC in 2021 showed that the Michelin Primacy 4 has its strengths in best notes on dry road conditions as well as outstanding mileage. However, it exhibited slight weaknesses on wet surfaces, leading to a markdown.

In conclusion, both Michelin Primacy 4 and Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 are solid options for touring summer tyres. Nevertheless, Michelin Primacy 4 seems to perform slightly better overall, especially in dry braking and safety. It also offers excellent mileage but has some weaknesses in wet conditions. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2, on the other hand, demonstrates brilliant wet braking capabilities but fares lower in general ranking compared to the Michelin tyre. As a well-informed driver, consider these strengths and weaknesses depending on your needs and preferences, as well as the prevailing road and climatic conditions in your area.
