In this text comparison, we will analyze two popular summer touring tyres: the Michelin Primacy 4 and the Nokian WetProof. Both of these tyres have received positive reviews and test results, but we will focus on summarizing the data from all tests and give a verdict about the strengths and weaknesses of each tyre.

The Michelin Primacy 4 is a touring summer tyre with a 90% rating from our experts. It is made in Spain, Germany, and Poland and is a successor to the Michelin Primacy 3. With a strong performance in various tests, the Primacy 4 is an excellent choice for drivers who value both comfort and performance. This model has recently been replaced by the Michelin Primacy 4+.

The Nokian WetProof, on the other hand, is a summer tyre with an 87% rating from our experts. Manufactured in Finland by Nokian, this tyre is specially designed to provide optimal performance during wet conditions. There isn't a newer tyre that replaced this model as of now.

When comparing the two tyres in various test results, the Michelin Primacy 4 consistently performs well. In the Autozeitung test, it ranks 4th out of 10 tyres, whereas the Nokian WetProof ranks 6th. The Primacy 4 also outperforms the WetProof in the ADAC and Autobild tests, ranking 2nd out of 18 tyres and 5th out of 53 tyres, respectively.

However, the Nokian WetProof shines in specific categories. In the GTÜ test, it ranks 2nd out of 9 tyres and has the best features in wet circle cornering, wet handling, and wet handling – objective. Similarly, in the ACE test, the WetProof ranks 1st out of 9 tyres and outperforms the Michelin Primacy 4 in wet braking, wet handling, and wet handling – objective categories.

Notably, in the Firmenauto test, both the Michelin Primacy 4 and Nokian WetProof perform exceptionally well. The Primacy 4 ranks 1st out of 11 tyres, while the WetProof ranks 2nd. Both tyres excel in exterior noise, wet handling, and wet handling – objective categories, with the Primacy 4 having additional strengths in dry braking, comfort, rolling resistance, and wet braking.

In conclusion, the Michelin Primacy 4 is the better choice overall, with a consistently high-ranking performance in various tests. However, the Nokian WetProof excels in wet conditions, making it a valuable option for drivers who prioritize wet performance. Both tyres offer many strengths, but the choice ultimately depends on the individual driver's preferences and driving conditions.
