Comparison: Michelin Primacy 4 vs. Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun vs. Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 vs. Firestone Roadhawk 2

Comparing the Michelin Primacy 4 and the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun, we can notice subtle differences that separate these two models. Michelin Primacy 4, manufactured in Spain, Germany, and Poland, earned a high rating of 89% on our page. It comes as an upgrade to the Michelin Primacy 3 model and has been replaced by the Michelin Primacy 4+ model. On the other hand, Falken's tyre, produced in Turkey, received an 81% rating from us, and is not an upgrade of any other model.

When put to the test by Autobild, for a lineup of 53 tyres, Michelin Primacy 4 claimed the 5th place, with its dry handling, comfort, dry braking, and gravel traction coming out on top. A similar test in 2022 highlighted its superb handling capabilities, solid cornering, excellent aquaplaning prevention, short braking distances, high mileage, and low rolling resistance. These impressive traits rendered it as 1st by Firmenauto and 3rd by AutoMotorSport among 11 tyres. Nevertheless, the Michelin Primacy 4 ranked lower in other tests, coming 8th and 4th in ACE and Autozeitung respectively.

However, the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun, despite its low ranking (8th position) among the 53 tyres tested by Autobild, showed excellent features when it came to aquaplaning - longitudal, comfort, and wet braking. In the 2022 Autobild test, it was praised for its great aquaplaning characteristics, stable wet handling, short braking distances, and dynamic dry handling. A highlight for this tyre is its affordable price. However, it fell short in ACE and AutoMotorSport's test, coming 5th and 8th out of 9 and 11 tyres, respectively. This discrepancy suggests that Falken's tyre performance may be inconsistent across different conditions.

In conclusion, the Michelin Primacy 4 provides superior handling features, rolling resistance, and high mileage, but comes with a higher price point. Conversely, the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun gives good aquaplaning properties and braking distances, considering its affordable cost. It's important for buyers to consider their specific needs, budget, and driving conditions before making a purchase decision.
