Comparison: Michelin Primacy 3 vs. Bridgestone Turanza T001 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Michelin Primacy 5

The two summer tyres put under scrutiny today are the Michelin Primacy 3 and the Bridgestone Turanza T001, brought to us by reputable manufacturers Michelin and Bridgestone, respectively. A comparative analysis reveals intriguing facts and results about these two tyres, based on various tests.

It’s noteworthy that the Michelin Primacy 3 has been retired and replaced by the newer model, the Michelin Primacy 4. The Bridgestone Turanza T001, however, continues to be offered without a replacement model as yet.

When we look at mutual test positions from Autobild, Autozeitung, Firmenauto, and GTÜ, both tyres have showed promising results, although their strengths tended to differ.

The Michelin Primacy 3 secured the first position in the Autozeitung test, second position in the Firmenauto test, ranking impressively in the top ten on both occasions. In Autobild and GTÜ tests, it fell just within the top 10, indicating a consistent, reliable performance profile.

The Bridgestone Turanza T001, in turn, has shown a consistently higher ranking in the Autobild and GTÜ tests, securing the 7th and 8th position, respectively. Nonetheless, in the Autozeitung and Firmenauto tests, it managed to secure a position within the top 10, albeit slightly below the Michelin Primacy 3, indicating a strong competitive edge.

From the available data, there is no absolute 'winner'. Both tyres showcase their strengths differently, justifying their popularity among consumers. The Michelin Primacy 3 excels in certain tests, as shown by its top-two placements, potentially indicating superior handling or traction capabilities. It is important to remember, however, that this tyre has been since replaced by the Michelin Primacy 4.

On the other hand, the Bridgestone Turanza T001 demonstrates a consistent, commendable performance across all tests. Its presence in the top 10 of all tests shows it to be a reliable choice for summer, although trailing just slightly behind the Michelin Primacy 3 in certain tests.

Overall, the decision between the Michelin Primacy 3 and the Bridgestone Turanza T001 may come down to personal preference, intended use, and current availability, since the Michelin Primacy 3 has now been replaced.
