Comparison: Hankook Ventus Prime 4 vs. Fulda SportControl 2 vs. Pirelli P ZERO PZ4

Our comparison will focus on two summer tyres: The Hankook Ventus Prime 4 and the Fulda SportControl 2. Both models received positive test results overall, but they excelled in different areas.

The Hankook Ventus Prime 4, by Hankook, is the successor model to the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125. It has achieved an excellent 81% in our rating system. Among the 51 tyres tested by Autobild, it secured second position. This Hankook model particularly shone in dry handling and braking and wet braking. The provided summary highlighted its excellent dry and wet handling, short wet and dry braking distances, as well as good mileage and value for money. However, the ride comfort was considered average.

On the other hand, Fulda SportControl 2, provided by Fulda, was rated at 74% in our ranking. It managed to secure the 7th position out of 16 in ADAC's tests and the 13th position out of 51 in Autobild's evaluations. Strengths noted for the Fulda model lay in its good aquaplaning reserves, short braking distance on wet and dry tracks, and good value for money. The model was, however, slighted for its delayed steering response and modest mileage.

When comparing both tyres head-on it becomes evident that while the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 has a minor advantage in terms of rating and positions in mutual tests, the Fulda SportControl 2 is still a good option particularly due to its resistance on wet surfaces. It goes without saying that each driver should consider his driving style and personal preferences before investing. After all, both models are a good fit for their respective manufacturer profiles and really demonstrate the unique strengths of Hankook and Fulda.

Neither of these summer tyres have been replaced with newer models yet, making them both a valid choice for the upcoming season.
