In this comparison, we will be looking at two popular summer tyres: the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 and the Fulda SportControl 2. Both of these models have been put through rigorous tests to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
The Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2, a continuation of the previous model, the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance, received an overall rating of 81% from us. Test reviews from Autobild highlighted this tyre's top-level handling attributes, short braking distances, and high mileage. However, its price level was seen as a downside. Despite that, it provides excellent comfort and value. Goodyear's tyre ranked 9th in ADAC's test and 18th in Autobild's test.
On the other hand, the Fulda SportControl 2, which didn't replace any previous model, received an overall rating of 69% from us. According to Autobild test summary, it offers good aquaplaning reserves, successfully having short braking distances on both wet and dry surfaces. Unfortunately, there were some weaknesses in dry comfort and a delayed steering response. Nevertheless, the tyre provides fairly good value for its price point. In ADAC's test, this tyre outperformed Goodyear, ranking 7th, and also did well in Autobild's test, achieving 13th place.
Overall, both tyres have their strengths and weaknesses, but the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 outperforms the Fulda SportControl 2 in terms of overall rating, comfort, value, and mileage.
