Comparison: Fulda SportControl 2 vs. Barum Bravuris 5 HM vs. Sava Intensa UHP vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2

Our comparison between the Fulda SportControl 2 and the Barum Bravuris 5 HM reveals distinct advantages and disadvantages for each tyre model. Focusing on summer tyres, we've analysed multiple testing results to provide you with an accurate and objective assessment. Note that the Bravuris 5 HM model has been replaced by the Barum Bravuris 6.

Firstly, we have the Fulda SportControl 2, a product of Fulda, registering an impressive overall rating of 69% in our tests. The tyre stood firmly at the 12th position in the Autobild test amongst 50 participating tyres. On top of that, it demonstrated superior exterior noise, exceptional comfort and reduced rolling resistance as its standout features.

Despite its strong points, the Fulda SportControl 2 has room for improvement when it comes to the delayed steering response and average mileage, as noted in Autobild 2021's text summary. However, the tyre's strengths in reserve during aquaplaning, short braking distances on damp and dry tracks and its excellent value for money balance out the need for improvement, still making it a competitive option.

In contrast to the SportControl 2, the Barum Bravuris 5 stood at the 42nd position in the Autobild test. Produced by Barum, this tyre registered an underwhelming our rating of just 29%. Unfortunately, specific strength points were not highlighted for this model in the tests.

Please remember that the Bravuris 5 got replaced by the far superior Bravuris 6. This is an indication that the manufacturer was keen to improve the design and performance in the latest edition.

In conclusion, between the two, the Fulda SportControl 2 emerged as a far superior option compared to the Barum Bravuris 5. Nevertheless, remember to take into account your driving conditions and preferences before making a decision. The newer Bravuris 6 model might also be worth considering.
