When comparing the Fulda EcoControl HP2 and the Continental PremiumContact 6 tyres, several key aspects must be taken into account. Both tyres are suitable for summer use - a common feature among products from the Fulda and Continental manufacturers. However, additional specification details reveal considerable differences.

The EcoControl HP2 replaced the previous Fulda EcoControl HP model. With an overall rating of 69%, it shows satisfactory performance but does not reach the continental rival's rating of 78%. Unlike the HP2, the PremiumContact 6 is a touring sub-type tyre produced in SK, DE and CZ, and it has been replaced by the new Continental PremiumContact 7.

Upon thorough testing, both tyres demonstrated distinct strengths and weaknesses. The EcoControl HP2 particularly excelled in Noise and Aquaplaning - cross situations, ranked eighth of 15 in the ADAC test. However, its performance on wet roads was not so convincing, leading to a drop in ratings in the Autobild 2024 test summary.

In conclusion, while the Fulda EcoControl HP2 can be lauded for its minimal noise and resistance to aquaplaning, its overall performance could not match up to that of the Continental PremiumContact 6. With its better test rankings and superior handling on wet surfaces, the Continental PremiumContact 6 emerges as the favourable choice between the two.
