The Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun, made in Turkey, is a summer touring tyre widely appreciated for its low rolling resistance and good aquaplaning characteristics. According to our rating, it scores a solid 75%. This model was replaced by the Falken ZIEX ZE320. In Autobild test, the tyre managed to secure the 8th position out of 53, which is no small feat. However, it was reported to exhibit an understeering behaviour on wet tracks and a delayed steering response.
On the other hand, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 is another exemplary summer touring tyre, outshining the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun with our rating of 86%. In the same Autobild test, it managed to secure the 2nd position, boosted by its exceptional characteristics in terms of comfort, wet braking, and low rolling resistance. However, it possesses a slightly higher price level and slightly extended dry braking distances.
In the Autozeitung test, the Falken model managed to grab the 6th position out of 9 for its impressive dry lane changing capacity. The Pirelli tyre outshone again, securing the 2nd position for its exceptional dry braking feature.
The Tyre Reviews gave the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun positive remarks for its comfort while the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 stood out for its excellent wet handling. However, both tyres showed some environmental efficiency and sustainability weaknesses.
The ADAC test showed a noticeable difference in the performance of these tyres; the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun managing a good 6th position out of 50, while the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 lagged behind at the 17th position.
In conclusion, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 performs better in most parameters compared to the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun according to the tests.
