When it comes to choosing the right summer tyres, the Cooper Zeon CS8 and the Nokian WetProof tyres offer different strengths. These tyres from Cooper and Nokian respectively, have been rigorously tested to ensure top-notch performance on the road.

Cooper Zeon CS8 Review

Manufactured in Great Britain, the Cooper Zeon CS8 scored 42% in our rating system. With good performance on wet roads as highlighted in the Automotorsport 2022 test, this tyre is able to handle the elements. However, it fell short with significant weaknesses on dry roads and a below-average environmental footprint. Furthermore, it lacked in durability with complaints about its low mileage and wear. Its efficiency and sustainability were also problematic, leading to its test position of 33 out of 50 in the ADAC test and 29 out of 53 in the Autobild test.

Nokian WetProof Review

The Nokian WetProof, on the other hand, comes from Finland and scored quite well - a 74% in our ratings. On the plus side, it performed adequately in both dry and wet conditions, according to the Automotorsport 2022 review. However, this tyre also had its share of negatives. Although its environmental footprint was described as a 'weakness', it wasn't as bad as that of the Cooper Zeon CS8. It also had issues concerning wear and sustainability. Nonetheless, it achieved high rankings, securing the 5th position in both the ADAC and Autobild reviews.

Looking at the test results, the Nokian WetProof has the upper hand with regards to rankings. In the Autobild test, it was even recognized for its low external noise and exceptional wet circle cornering.

Neither of these tyres has been replaced by newer models as of now.
