When considering its text summary from the autobild 2024, dynamisches Trockenhandling and a low rolling resistance are mentioned as positive aspects, as well as a reasonable price. On the downside, there were reports of a slight understeering tendency in wet conditions.


Now let's look at the Michelin Primacy 4+. This tyre, the latest in a series of previous models such as the Michelin Primacy 4 and 3, received a higher rating of 77% from us. In terms of noise, the tyre performs well with Autobild naming it as one of its best features. From the autobild 2024 test summary, it's noted for very balanced performance, both in dry and wet conditions, superior environmental sustainability and extremely high mileage (rated as best). Interestingly, the test did not point out any particular weaknesses.


Looking at mutual test positions, in the Autobild test, which included 55 tyres, the Michelin Primacy 4+ ranked at an impressive 5th position, while the BFGoodrich Advantage came in further down the list at 18th. In the ADAC test, which included 50 tyres, the Michelin Primacy 4+ stood at a solid 3rd position whereas the BFGoodrich Advantage placed at the 21st position.


Jeopardizing on the gathered data, the Michelin Primacy 4+ appears to perform better overall than the BFGoodrich Advantage in these tests, particularly noting its balance in different conditions and its high mileage performance. However, the BFGoodrich Advantage is still a solid choice for those prioritizing comfort and looking for a more competitively priced tyre.


It's important to note that neither of these models have been replaced with newer tyres yet, meaning that both are still available and on the front-line from their manufacturers.
