Viking Fourtech:


An all-around tyre, the Viking Fourtech didn't have a predecessor and so far, there isn't a new model that replaced it. It was rated 45% by our team. This tyre impressively secured its position in 25th place out of 31 tyres in the Autobild test. Maxxis Premitra AS AP3:


Made in China, the Maxxis Premitra AS AP3 also didn't have a predecessor, and currently, no new model has replaced it yet. Receiving a slightly higher rating of 53% by our team, this tyre did remarkably well in the Autobild test where it landed the 4th position out of 31 tyres. The highest performing features of the tyre are exterior noise reduction, aquaplaning - cross & longitudinal performance, and dry braking. The autobild 2020 summary talks about its good safety reserves with aquaplaning conditions, dynamic handling, and short braking distances in dry conditions. In conclusion, the Maxxis Premitra AS AP3 outperformed Viking Fourtech in our tests, taking a higher position with a better rating and demonstrating superior capabilities in noise reduction and braking. This does not discount the performance of Viking Fourtech in its own light. It performed well particularly in aquaplaning-cross conditions and showcased low rolling resistance.
