Comparison: Semperit Speed-Life 3 vs. Continental PremiumContact 6 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Michelin e.Primacy vs. Michelin Primacy 5

The two tyres under review are the Semperit Speed-Life 3 by Semperit and the Continental PremiumContact 6 by Continental.
The Semperit Speed-Life 3, a successor of Semperit Speed-Life tyre, offers excellent wet braking abilities and reduced exterior noise as it is a summer tyre. However, it received an overall rating of 59% in our tests. The drawbacks of this tyre include relative weakness on dry roads and potential shorter lifespan, as mentioned in autobild 2018 and adac 2021 tests. Despite these, it performed notably well in the ADAC test, securing the second position among fifteen tyres.

On the contrary, the Continental PremiumContact 6, a summer touring tyre, is made in several locations including SK, DE, and CZ. It earned an impressive rating of 85% in our tests. This tyre also performs exceptionally well both on wet and dry surfaces, as underlined by autobild 2018 and adac 2021 tests, though it might slightly struggle in terms of efficiency. The ADAC test positions the Continental PremiumContact 6 as the top tyre, bringing attention to its strong wet handling and braking characteristics.

Also, bear in mind that the Continental PremiumContact 6 tyre has been replaced by a newer model – the Continental PremiumContact 7. While both tyres have shown strengths and weaknesses, the Continental PremiumContact 6 tends to outshine the Semperit Speed-Life 3 in most tests due to its balanced performance on various road conditions, as well as higher overall rating. However, based on the specific requirements such as focus on wet braking or exterior noise, the Semperit Speed-Life 3 might be an alternative of interest.
