Comparison: Pirelli P ZERO vs. Semperit Speed-Life 2 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Firestone Roadhawk 2 vs. GoodYear Efficientgrip Performance 2 vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2

In this text, we pit two popular summer tyres against each other: Pirelli P ZERO and Semperit Speed-Life 2. Both these models have been put to the test in various conditions by reputed organizations, offering us an opportunity to make comparisons in several categories.

From Italy's Pirelli, we have the P ZERO, which boasts brilliant dry handling as its chief strength according to Autobild's test, where it took the notable 4th place among 53 tyres tested. In the ACE test, the P ZERO displayed its prowess in dry braking, dry driving behaviour, wet circle cornering, and objective wet handling, ranking 7th out of 11 tyres. Finally, ADAC positioned it third in their test. Throughout, the P ZERO has consistently shown its strength in both dry and wet handling situations, adding credence to its formidable reputation as a durable and versatile summer tyre.

On the other side, we have the Semperit Speed-Life 2 from manufacturer Semperit. Taking 30th place among 53 tyres in Autobild's test, it didn't perform as well as the P ZERO. It further slipped to 10th place out of 11 in the ACE test, showing its best performance in rolling resistance. In the ADAC test, it was positioned 14th among 16 tyres tested. Despite this, it's important to note that the Speed-Life 2 has been replaced by the Semperit Speed-Life 3, and the newer model might carry improvements that address these points.

Comparing these results, we see that the Pirelli P ZERO consistently ranked higher than the Semperit Speed-Life 2 in all tests. The P ZERO also demonstrated a wider range of strengths, particularly its reliable dry and wet handling capabilities, while Speed-Life 2 notably performed well in rolling resistance.

In conclusion, despite both tyres showcasing their specific strengths, the Pirelli P ZERO comes out on top in terms of consistent high performance across tests and a richer assortment of strengths. Meanwhile, the Semperit Speed-Life 2 may be a contestant to consider if rolling resistance is a priority, but its replacement by the Speed-Life 3 warrants attention to potentially improved features and performance in the newer model. Please review both carefully and consider individual driving styles and requirements for an optimal choice.
