In this comparison, we will be looking at two summer tyres — the Pirelli P ZERO from Italy and the Continental PremiumContact 6, originating from Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Both these tyres have consistently performed well in various tyre tests.

Both tyres were tested in several conditions for an array of features like dry handling, wet side guide, dry braking, mileage and more.


The Pirelli P ZERO excelled in areas such as wet side guide, dry handling, dry braking and wet circle cornering. It achieved admirable positions in multiple tests such as AutoMotorSport, position 4 out of 11 and Autobild where it achieved 4th position out of 53 total tyres.


However, the Pirelli tyre could show some improvement in areas such as mileage, price to value ratio, safety, and noise exterior.


The Continental PremiumContact 6 on the other hand, has shown a consistent performance in dry handling, wet braking and wet circle cornering. It also provided good mileage. The tyre snagged the 1st position in tests conducted by ADAC and Gute-Fahrt out of 16 and 10 total tyres respectively. As for improvements, the tyre needs enhancement in dry steering response and wet handling.


In many mutual test positions, the Continental PremiumContact 6 has generally outranked the Pirelli P ZERO and has garnered higher ratings. In general, the Continental tyre has proven to be better overall in most tests.


To sum it up, while the Pirelli P ZERO provides excellent wet handling and dry handling, the Continental PremiumContact 6 offers the best dry handling and great mileage, and it has been ranked as better overall according to the conducted tyre tests.
