Comparison: Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Michelin e.Primacy vs. Continental SportContact 7

If you're in the market for new tyres, you probably want to know about their performance before making a purchase. With this in mind, we’re going to compare two popular summer tyres, Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2. Both tyres are from esteemed manufacturers Pirelli and Goodyear. This information should help you make an enlightened choice for your vehicle.

The Pirelli Cinturato P7 has an overall rating of 75%, which is a reliable indicator of its quality. This tyre really shines in dry handling, with the ACE ranking it in 4th place out of 10 tyres tested. Its advantages in dry braking, interior noise, and wet handling are also noteworthy, as corroborated by the ADAC and Teknikens tests where it secured 12th and 5th positions respectively. It should be noted though that despite these incredible performances, it's not the most economical tyre, with ace 2024 pointing out its higher price level and satisfactory economy and durability.

On the flip side, the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 fetched a higher rating of 81%. Its dominant performance in the Teknikens test where it stood second validates this higher rating. Although it placed fifth and fourth under the ACE and ADAC tests, it did not fare as well in Autobild's assessment, landing in the 13th position out of a total of 55 tyres.

Please note that to date, neither of these models has been replaced with a newer version, therefore there are no links to any succeeding models.

In summary, while both tyres are well-reviewed and have their own unique strengths, the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 pulls slightly ahead due to its overall higher rating and impressive 2nd place finish in one of the tests. Meanwhile, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 is well-regarded for its excellent handling and noise performance, although some users may be swayed by its cost aspects.

With this information at hand, we hope you can confidently make a decision when choosing between the Pirelli Cinturato P7 and the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2.
