Comparison: Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 vs. Semperit Speed-Life 3 vs. Hankook Ventus Evo

Here, we compare two popular summer tyres: the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 and the Semperit Speed-Life 3. Both provided by their respective manufacturers: Pirelli and Semperit

The Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2, successor to the Pirelli P7 Cinturato, is a touring summer tyre with our rating of 92%. It consistently performs well in tests, ranking 4th out of 19 in the Autoklub ČR test and 2nd out of 53 in the Autobild test. ADAC rated it good on dry roads, and efficient in terms of mileage. However, weaknesses were noted on wet surfaces and in environmental balance. This does not however detract from its overall excellent performance in various test situations.

Switching to the Semperit Speed-Life 3, the successor to the Semperit Speed-Life, this tyre received our rating of 66%. Notably, it has been praised for its performance on wet surfaces, achieving top scores in this area. However, its overall performance falls slightly behind the Pirelli tyre in mutual tests: ranking 10th out of 19 in the Autoklub ČR and same position out of 17 in the ADAC test. Notably, it falls further behind in the Autobild test, ranking 12th out of 53. This tyre's primary shortcoming is its performance on dry roads.

In conclusion, while the Semperit Speed-Life 3 excels on wet roads, it falls short in its performance on dry roads. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2, on the other hand, provides a more balanced performance, albeit with some minor weak points. With its consistent high ranks across various tests, we find the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 as a more reliable all-rounder tyre.

Note that the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 and the Semperit Speed-Life 3 have not yet been replaced by newer tyre models. For updates and changes, please follow the links provided to each tyre's page.
