The Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 and the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 are two summer touring tyres with different strengths and weaknesses according to various tyre tests. The Pirelli tyre replaces the previous model Pirelli P7 Cinturato, whereas the Goodyear tyre is an update on the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance.

The Pirelli tyre has an overall rating of 86%, which is slightly higher than the 84% rating for the Goodyear tyre. According to the Autobild test, the Pirelli tyre holds the 2nd position out of 53 tested tyres, excelling in the features of Aquaplaning - longitudal, Comfort, Rolling resistance, and Wet braking. On the other hand, the Goodyear tyre ranks 13th, gaining recognition for its mileage, Price/value, and Comfort.

In the autobild 2024 test, the Pirelli tyre's strengths were underlined as "Premium-Sommerprofil mit stabilen Fahreigenschaften auf nasser und trockener Piste, direktes Lenkansprechen mit guter Rückmeldung, gute Sicherheitsreserven bei Aquaplaning, besonders guter Komfort, geringer Rollwiderstand." However, it also showed some weaknesses like "Erhöhtes Preisniveau, leicht verlängerte Trockenbremswege."

The TyreReviews.com 2023 test sheds more light on the Pirelli tyre's performance, noting strengths as "gut auf trockener Fahrbahn, noch gut bei Laufleistung u. Effizienz" and identifying weaknesses as "nicht ganz ausgewogen, Schwächen auf nasser Fahrbahn, Schwächen bei der Umweltbilanz, leichte Schwäche beim Abrieb (Abwertung)." Meanwhile, the Goodyear tyre received positive feedback for being a "Very well balanced tyre, excellent wet handling, great dry handling, low noise, good levels of comfort, low rolling resistance," with slight criticisms over its "Slightly average aquaplaning resistance, extended dry braking."

An ADAC test, however, handed the Goodyear tyre a victory in a field of 50 tested tyres, while the Pirelli tyre only managed to secure the 17th position.

In conclusion, while the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 stands out in terms of features like Aquaplaning - longitudal and Comfort, the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 offers excellent mileage and Price/value, and is the all-around winner in numerous tests. Therefore, while both tyres prove to be a good investment, the Goodyear tyre appears to have an overall edge.
