Comparison: Nokian WetProof vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Michelin Primacy 4+

In this comparison, we'll look at two distinct summer tyres- Nokian WetProof, which is a product of Nokian Tyres, and the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2, which originates from Pirelli. While interpreting the data collected from multiple tests, we'll assess the strengths and weaknesses of each tyre to help you make an informed choice.

The Nokian WetProof has an overall rating of 74%. According to Autoklub test results, it's the 6th best tyre among an array of 19, and its best features are its reduced exterior noise. However, ADAC rated it 5th amongst 50, a better indicating its consistent performances. A third test highlighted the tyre's balance, efficiency, and strength on both dry and wet roads as positive attributes. On the downside, it expressed concerns over the tyre's environmental impact, longevity and slight weaknesses about sustainability.

Replacing the former Pirelli P7 Cinturato model, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 outperforms the Nokian WetProof with an overall rating of 86%. It ranked 4th in the Autoklub tests and performed brilliantly in the Autobild Tests, securing the 2nd position amongst 53 tyres; its performance on wet braking stood out as the best feature in the latter. However, the ADAC test result was slightly less impressive, positioning the tyre at 17th among 50 tyres. Strengths of the tyre were found in its performance on dry roads, efficiency and longevity. Weaknesses, however, lay in its slightly unbalanced nature, performance on wet roads and its environmental impact.

In summary, both tyres cater to different sets of needs. The Nokian WetProof tyres impress with reduced exterior noise and its good performances on both dry and wet roads. On the other hand, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 excels in terms of performance on dry roads, efficiency and longevity. While the Nokian WetProof may be a great option for noise-sensitive and environmentally conscious drivers, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 would be suitable for those prioritizing longevity and efficiency.

It's worth mentioning that these are summer tyres, so their performances and weaknesses might differ in winters or other seasons. Ultimately, the choice between the two would depend on individual preferences, driving habits and environmental considerations.
