Comparison: Michelin Primacy 4 vs. Bridgestone Turanza T005 vs. Hankook ION Evo vs. Goodyear Efficientgrip 2 SUV

If you are considering new summer touring tyres, then Michelin Primacy 4 and Bridgestone Turanza T005 are two excellent options worth exploring. Both of these models have been extensively tested and based on the test results; each tyre presents unique points of strengths and weaknesses.

The Michelin Primacy 4, made in ES, DE and PL, has a steady rating of 89% and is an improvement over its predecessor model the Michelin Primacy 3. This tyre model stands out with convincing handling qualities, snappy steering, good aquaplaning reserves, short braking distances, high mileage and low rolling resistance. However, the high price level may deter some users. Although it is worth noting that this model has been replaced by Primacy 4+, a new model by Michelin.

In the comparison tests, Michelin Primacy 4 generally performed impressively, clinching the first position in the "Promobil", "ADAC", and "Firmenauto" tests. It also secured second and third positions in "Autozeitung" and "AutoMotorSport" tests respectively.

Bridgestone Turanza T005, on the other hand, is manufactured in HU, PL, FR, and IT. It also has an 89% rating and offers good grip and excellent wet and dry handling. Users can expect precise steering behaviour, short wet and dry braking distances from Turanza T005. However, the tyre’s limited mileage might be a point of concern for some. You can still check this tyre model and other offerings from Bridgestone on our site.

In the mutual test positions, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 performed excellently with the second position in the "ADAC" and "AutoMotorSport" tests, and the third position in the "Firmenauto" test.

To recap, both the Michelin Primacy 4 and the Bridgestone Turanza T005 are solid choices for summer touring tyres. If your emphasis is on handling qualities and mileage, then the Michelin Primacy 4 might be your best bet, albeit at a higher price. If optimal grip and handling in both wet and dry conditions are your priority, you might enjoy the Bridgestone Turanza T005 more, although you should anticipate a lower mileage in comparison to Michelin.
