Comparison: Michelin Primacy 4 vs. BFGoodrich Advantage vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2

Michelin Primacy 4 and BFGoodrich Advantage are two summer tyres compared in various tests. The Michelin Primacy 4, a touring tyre, is manufactured in Spain, Germany, and Poland. It replaced the previous model, the Michelin Primacy 3, and has since been superseded by the Michelin Primacy 4+. The BFGoodrich Advantage doesn't have any previous models and hasn't been replaced yet.


The Michelin Primacy 4 has an excellent rating of 89% by our team, while the BFGoodrich Advantage received a rating of 76%.


When compared, in the Autobild, Autozeitung, ADAC, GTÜ, and Firmenauto tests, the Michelin Primacy 4 consistently outperformed the BFGoodrich Advantage. Particularly, in the dry handling aspect, the Michelin Primacy 4 was praised for its impressive capabilities. It was also noted for its comfort, short braking distances, high mileage and low rolling resistance. Its weaknesses included high pricing.


The BFGoodrich Advantage, on the other hand, was credited for stable driving behaviour, comfortable noise levels and short dry braking distances. However, it was criticised for its wet handling and extended wet braking distances.


In mutual test positions, the Michelin Primacy 4 was consistently placed in the top five except in ADAC where it was ranked third. In contrasting results, the BFGoodrich Advantage was consistently ranked somewhere around the second half of the test list, indicating a general performance below the Michelin Primacy 4.


In conclusion, if you're looking for a tyre that delivers excellent dry handling, comfort, and impressively short braking distances, the Michelin Primacy 4 would be a better choice, provided you're prepared for a slightly higher price. However, the BFGoodrich Advantage offers stable driving behaviour, and decent comfort levels, falling a bit short only in wet conditions.
