Comparison: Michelin Primacy 3 vs. Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 vs. Hankook Ventus Prime 4

In this review, we will be comparing two summer tyres, the Michelin Primacy 3 and the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125. These tyres have been subjected to various rigorous tests to evaluate their performance, durability, and reliability. The reviewers assigned a rating of 75% to Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125, whereas the Michelin Primacy 3 didn't receive a rating.

Considering the tests, the Michelin Primacy 3 emerged as the overall winner in ADAC and Autozeitung tests, ranking first out of 16 and 10 tested tyres respectively. However, it performed slightly less impressively in the Autobild test, where it was ranked 10th out of 50 tyres tested. Hankook's Ventus Prime3 also performed admirably. In Autobild's comparison, it took the impressive second-place spot out of the 50 tyres tested. However, it didn't fare as well in the ADAC and Autozeitung evaluations, where it was ranked 5th and 6th respectively.

The Michelin Primacy 3, made by renowned Michelin company, does not have a predecessor. As for the newer model, it was replaced by the Michelin Primacy 4 tyre. Its lineage does not affect its high-performance and consistent results throughout various tests. Its strengths include superior handling and traction in both dry and wet conditions, making it a versatile summer tyre choice.

In contrast, the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125, manufactured by the global giant Hankook, was initially chosen as the first equipment for the Citroën C3 Aircross due to its impressive credentials. The tyre boasts an exceptional grip and short stopping distance in wet conditions. Ranked high in the Autobild test, it appears to be a great value-for-money proposition. Despite its good performance, it got replaced by the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 model.

In sum, while the Michelin Primacy 3 tends to perform better in direct comparative tests, the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 also holds its ground, especially considering its lower price point. The choice between these two models thus boils down to personal preference and individual driving conditions. Use this review to aid in your decision-making process when choosing between these two outstanding summer tyres.
