The comparison between the Linglong Sport Master and the Maxxis Victra Sport 5 offers an intriguing contrast in terms of performance and overall ratings in our tests. Both of these tyres are high performing summer variants, but a clear distinction can be made between their respective strengths and weaknesses.

The Linglong Sport Master, manufactured by Linglong, shows a commendable performance in terms of exterior noise, particularly amongst UHP (Ultra High Performance) tyres. However, it showed strong understeer in dry handling and relatively less comfort. On the plus side, it got a high rating for its short braking distance in both wet and dry conditions and its affordable price. Our review rates this tyre at 64%.

On the other hand, The Maxxis Victra Sport 5, from the renowned Maxxis manufacturer, excels in wet cornering, providing a dynamic and safe ride. However, it's noted for having a slightly sluggish steering response. It also impresses with its performance in the case of aquaplaning, where it provides good safety reserves, but its mileage could be deemed average at best. In our tests, this model received an overall rating of 69%.

It is worth noting is that in the Autobild test, out of 50 tyres, the Linglong Sport Master came in 7th and the Maxxis Victra Sport 5 in 9th position. Although these tyres performed respectively well, they did not reach the top rank in our test given their mentioned strengths and weaknesses.

In conclusion, if you prioritise quietness and low cost, the Linglong Sport Master may well be an excellent option for you, notwithstanding its reduced comfort. However, if safety and dynamic handling in wet conditions are your main concern, then the Maxxis Victra Sport 5 could be the tyre for you, despite its somewhat lacklustre performance in steering response.
