Today we present a comparison between two summer tyres, Kumho Ecsta PS71 and Kleber Dynaxer UHP, which have been tested by various sources such as Autobild.

Kumho Ecsta PS71, produced by Kumho, is notable for its balanced high-performance potential, excellent control capabilities, and brief wet and dry braking distances. A key benefit of this tyre is its competitive price, making it a worthy choice for many drivers. However, the increased driving noise might be a bit off-putting. It has received an overall rating of 68% from our tire experts, establishing its reliable performance capacity. In the Autobild tests, it ranked 18 out of 53 tyres, showing it holds its own amidst a competitive range of tires. However, this model has not yet been replaced by a newer variant.

On the other hand, we have the Kleber Dynaxer UHP, manufactured by Kleber. It is appreciated for its superior mileage, quiet rolling noise, and low rolling resistance. But it does exhibit weaknesses in wet grip and lateral guidance in wet conditions, with low aquaplaning reserves. Nevertheless, its exterior noise reduction is a highlight, as stated in the Autobild tests, where it secured a position of 15 out of 53 tyres, beating the Kumho Ecsta PS71. However, our site's tire experts rated it at 48%, which is significantly lower than the Kumho model, implying there is room for improvement in certain aspects of performance. So far, there is no newer model that has replaced this tyre.

In conclusion, the Kumho Ecsta PS71 despite its higher driving noise, delivers impressively in terms of performance and control along, with offering advantageous pricing. In contrast, the Kleber Dynaxer UHP shines in terms of noise reduction but needs to work on its grip, particularly in wet conditions.

In totality, based on the comparison data and test results, the Kumho Ecsta PS71 seems to have an upper hand, while the Kleber Dynaxer UHP could be a good fit for those prioritising quiet and efficient tyres.
