In this comparison, we will take a closer look at two all-season tyres: the Kleber Quadraxer 2 and the Michelin CrossClimate+. Manufactured by Kleber and Michelin respectively, both of these tyres are designed to offer reliable performance in various weather conditions. Let's dive into the test results to see how they stack up against each other.

Test Results

Based on our ratings, the Michelin CrossClimate+ definitely takes the lead, scoring 87% compared to the Kleber Quadraxer 2's 61%. Across multiple tests, the CrossClimate+ consistently ranked higher than the Quadraxer 2.

In the Használtautó.hu test, the Michelin CrossClimate+ ranked 12th out of 16 participating tyres. However, the Kleber Quadraxer 2 couldn't keep up, coming in at the 15th place. On the other hand, in the Autobild test, the difference was more significant – the CrossClimate+ secured a commendable 2nd place out of 27 tyres, while the Quadraxer 2 lagged behind at the 11th place. Lastly, in the Autoklub ČR test, the Michelin CrossClimate+ secured 4th place out of nine tested tyres, with the Kleber Quadraxer 2 following closely in 5th position.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The Kleber Quadraxer 2 shines when it comes to exterior noise, snow braking, snow cornering, snow handling, and snow traction. It's a great choice for those who need a tyre with excellent performance on snow-packed roads. However, its limitations become apparent when it comes to cornering on wet surfaces, as it has restricted reserves in aquaplaning situations.

On the other hand, the Michelin CrossClimate+ excels in various categories such as dry braking, exterior noise, rolling resistance, dry handling, mileage, snow handling, and price/value ratio. Its well-rounded performance in various weather conditions makes it a premium all-season tyre. However, users should be aware of its relatively high price point.

Verdict

Considering the overall test results and the individual strengths and weaknesses, the Michelin CrossClimate+ emerges as the superior all-season tyre compared to the Kleber Quadraxer 2. Its consistently higher rankings in multiple tests, coupled with its balanced performance in various weather conditions, make it a great option for those in need of a reliable all-season tyre.

It's worth noting that the Kleber Quadraxer 2 has now been replaced by the Kleber Quadraxer 3. Users who are interested in the Kleber brand may want to explore this newer tyre model instead.
