Comparison: Kleber Dynaxer HP4 vs. Toyo Proxes Comfort vs. Michelin e.Primacy

Today, we'll be comparing two popular summer tyres: the Kleber Dynaxer HP4 and the Toyo Proxes Comfort. Both tyres receive a significant amount of acclaim, but each brings a unique set of pros and cons to the table.

Starting with the Kleber Dynaxer HP4, a product of the reputable Kleber brand, this tyre is highly rated in general, receiving an overall rating of 82% in our tests. It boasts impressive performance in terms of comfort and exterior noise, which allows for smoother and quieter rides.

However, the Dynaxer HP4 is not without its flaws. According to the Autobild 2022 test, the tyre showed moderate grip when driving on wet surfaces and a noticeably delayed steering response. On a dry track, the tyre tended to understeer, which could be a concern for some drivers.

Contrarily, the Toyo Proxes Comfort, manufactured by Toyo, a Japanese brand known for making quality tyres, carries an overall rating of 72%. It excels in dry handling and braking, offering a confident drive in dry conditions.

The Toyo Proxes Comfort, however, did exhibit some limitations in the testing phase. In the Autobild 2024 test, the tyre was criticized for its lesser mileage. The Autobild 2022 test also revealed deficits in handling curves in aquaplaning, and unimpressive mileage as well.

In terms of positioning in the Autobild and ADAC tests, the Kleber Dynaxer HP4 ranked 14th out of 53 and 10th out of 18 respectively, while the Toyo Proxes Comfort ranked slightly lower at 17th out of 53 in Autobild test but triumphed with a 5th place in the ADAC test out of 18.

In conclusion, both tyres offer distinct advantages—while the Kleber Dynaxer HP4 might be the choice for those valuing comfort and quiet rides, the Toyo Proxes Comfort is preferable for those needing excellent dry handling and braking. Whichever tyre you choose ultimately boils down to individual preference and driving conditions.
