Comparison: Hankook Ventus Prime 4 vs. Bridgestone Turanza T005 vs. Goodyear Efficientgrip 2 SUV vs. Michelin Primacy 4+

Today we're comparing two well-regarded summer tyres, the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 and the Bridgestone Turanza T005. Both of these models are an excellent choice for your car, with each offering unique strengths.

The Hankook Ventus Prime 4 is a tyre that's proven itself in several tests. Manufactured by Hankook, it scores favourably with a rating of 85%. This tyre demonstrates excellent handling in dry conditions, along with short braking distances in both dry and wet conditions. The Ventus Prime 4 is the successor to the popular Hankook Ventus Prime 3 and continues to build on its predecessor's excellent performance.

However, there were some areas in which the Hankook model underperformed. These included lower aquaplaning resistance and a higher level of external noise compared to some other tyres that have been tested. It's also worth mentioning that in the Autoklub ČR and ADAC tests, this tyre ranked 9th out of 19 and 50 respectively, while in Autobild it secured the 2nd position, underscoring its overall reliable performance but indicating room for improvement.

On the other hand, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 boasts a slightly higher rating of 89% supplied by its manufacturer, Bridgestone. This tyre is well-balanced and performs admirably on both dry and wet roads. One of its standout features is its high efficiency and good environmental footprint. In testing, it performed particularly well in the diminishing fuel category, with superior rolling resistance cited as a key strength.

Notably, in the Autoklub ČR test, this tyre secured the 3rd position out of 19, underpinning its high ranking in terms of performance. However, in the Autobild test, the Bridgestone tyre truly shone, managing to secure the 1st place, emphasizing its strong features such as its braking capabilities, both dry and wet, and its excellent cornering and handling skills on a wet circle.

Overall, if you're looking for a tyre with excellent dry handling and short braking distances, the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 could be the tyre for you. However, for those seeking the best in rolling resistance and wet circle cornering, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 could be a more suitable choice.

In conclusion, both the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 and the Bridgestone Turanza T005 are high-performing summer tyres, with the Bridgestone marginally edging out the Hankook in our testing.
