Comparison: Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 vs. Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs. Continental AllSeasonContact vs. Nexen N Blue 4 Season

Comparing the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 and the Michelin CrossClimate 2, one can see noteworthy differences based on several conducted tests. Both are all-round tyres with their respective strengths and weaknesses.

Hankook's Kinergy 4S2 H750, a successor of the previous Hankook Kinergy 4S model, stands out due to its precise and safe characteristics on dry roads, high anticipatory tread life, low wear, lightweight, and low fuel consumption noted in the autobild 2019 test. However, its minor weaknesses include a slightly higher rolling noise and minor weaknesses on wet and winter roads. Regardless, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 secured 2nd and 3rd positions in the SPORTAUTO and ADAC tests respectively.

On the other hand, the Michelin CrossClimate 2, which succeeded the Michelin CrossClimate model, shines in areas such as in boundary safety and precision on dry roads, safety and precision on winter roads, high foresighted tread life, lowest wear in the test, light weight, and low fuel consumption. Minor weaknesses were noted in wet road conditions. The Michelin CrossClimate 2 ranked 4th position in both the SPORTAUTO and ADAC test.

In terms of dry handling, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 was deemed superior, but it scored average on snow performance and presented poor resistance to aquaplaning. Interestingly, the Michelin CrossClimate 2 was the test winner in numerous categories including dry braking, snow braking, snow traction, and snow handling lap. It also provided very good resistance to aquaplaning and comfort, coupled with very low rolling resistance. Its average performance was noted on wet braking and handling.

Finally, crossing over to the Autobild test, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 ended up in 4th position with strengths such as aquaplaning, exterior noise, snow braking, and snow handling. The Michelin CrossClimate 2 aced the test, ranking 1st, with strengths in dry braking, snow cornering, snow handling, snow traction, and exterior noise among others.

In a nutshell, while both tyres present superb features, the Michelin CrossClimate 2 edges out slightly due to its overall performance in mutual tests. This, however, largely depends on factors such as specific driving conditions and personal preferences.
