Comparison: Gt Radial Fe2 vs. Fulda EcoControl HP2 vs. Falken e.Ziex

When it comes to tyres, two of the models that caught our attention are the GT Radial Fe2 and Fulda EcoControl HP2. In our review, the former didn't receive a rating, whereas the latter got a score of 71%. Let's delve into the gritty details of these tyres manufactured by GT Radial and Fulda, respectively.

Let's begin with the GT Radial Fe2. While it doesn't have any previous models or any new tyre replacing it, the tyre is categorised as an ultra-high-performance (UHP) type. When it was tested by Autobild, it secured the 19th position out of 55 tyres, and the 22nd in an ADAC test comprising of 50 tyres. The GT Radial Fe2 was praised for its secure aquaplaning qualities, short dry braking distances, and particularly for its cost-effectiveness. However, critiques included average grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

On the other hand, the Fulda EcoControl HP2 is a summer tyre that replaced the EcoControl HP model. When pitted against others in the Autobild test, it ascended to the 16th position, hence outperforming the GT Radial Fe2. In the ADAC test too, it surpassed the latter by securing the 13th position. The tyre stood out for its low exterior noise. It was also marked as 'good' for environmental balance, lifespan, abrasion, and efficiency. However, a slight setback was its not-so-impressive wet road performance.

To conclude, the Fulda EcoControl HP2 seems to have a slight edge over the GT Radial Fe2 based on aggregate test results. While the former flexes its muscles with better environmental performance and lower exterior noise, the latter puts up a fight with superior dry-road performance and a more economic price tag. Both have their strengths and areas for potential improvement, boiling down to personal preferences and specific requirements of users.

We recommend prospective buyers to dig deeper into the features of both the tyres before making a purchase. Visit the respective links for GT Radial Fe2 and Fulda EcoControl HP2 for a detailed overview and make an informed decision.
