Comparison: Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Kleber Dynaxer HP4 vs. Michelin e.Primacy vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2

In this article, we provide a comparative analysis of two popular summer tyres: Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance and Pirelli Cinturato P7. Both tyres have been tested in various conditions by leading automotive testing organisations ensuring a comprehensive review for potential buyers.

The Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance, made in Slovenia, has a rating of 43% on our scale. It excelled in dry handling, rolling resistance, and wet handling in the ACE test where it earned 6th position out of 9. In the AutoMotorSport test, the tyre stood out for its aquaplaning capacity and wet handling, ranking 4th out of 11. In the Gute-Fahrt test, this model secured the 3rd position. Overall, excellent wet performance and low rolling resistance are key strengths. However, it's worth mentioning that this tyre was replaced by the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2.

In contrast, the Pirelli Cinturato P7, manufactured in IT and RO, outperforms the Goodyear model with a 75% rating on our scale. In the ACE test, it was positioned 9th evidencing room for improvement. However, it showed its prowess in the AutoMotorSport test, particularly in the categories of dry handling, dry steering response, interior noise, and wet braking, achieving 5th place out of 11. The tyre secured 5th position in the Gute-Fahrt test as well. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 excels in dry handling, steering response, and has less interior noise.

In conclusion, while both Goodyear and Pirelli offer high-quality summer tyres, the tyre of choice may depend on individual preferences. If you prioritise wet handling and low rolling resistance, consider the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance. However, if dry handling, steering response, and less noise are vital for you, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 may better fit your needs. Considering our rating and overall test positions, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 seems to be the superior option between the two.
