Comparison: Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance vs. Dunlop Sport BluResponse vs. Michelin e.Primacy vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2

In this review, we will make a concise comparison between Goodyear's Efficient Grip Performance tyre and the Sport BluResponse tyre from Dunlop. Both tyres have consistently performed strongly across various tests, showcasing their strength and efficiency.

Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance

Manufactured in SI, this summer tyre has excelled in several test categories providing admirable dry handling, which emerged as its supreme characteristic. Scoring a solid 79% rating, this tyre has further proven strong in rolling resistance, wet handling and objective wet handling. Interestingly, our data reveals the tyre is also strong in cross and longitudinal aquaplaning. However, the tyre landed 5th position in a field of 50 in the Autobild test and secured 3rd place in the Autoklub ČR test. It’s important to mention that Goodyear has now replaced this model with the Efficient Grip Performance 2.

Dunlop Sport BluResponse

Let’s continue with Dunlop's Sport BluResponse, a summer tyre manifesting impressive aquaplaning resistance- both cross and longitudinal. Well-regarded for its dry driving behavior, the Sport BluResponse also scores highly on wet handling and objective wet handling features. This remarkable combination of features helped secure the tyre 2nd place in ACE's test along with showcasing a commendable performance in the ADAC's tests, being especially noted for its safety and wet braking features. In total, the BluResponse achieved an outstanding 83% in our overall rating. Thus far, it appears there isn’t a newer model to supersede the Sport BluResponse.

Verdict

In conclusion, based upon the results across all tests, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse marginally outperforms the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance. The Dunlop tyre's strong performance in safety, wet braking and aquaplaning resistance gives it an overall slight edge, even though the Goodyear tyre excelled in different categories. Both tyres, however, rank highly and exemplify quality manufacturing from \Dunlop and \Goodyear.

It is always important to consider your specific vehicle and driving conditions when choosing a tyre. We recommend taking a closer look at the individual BluResponse and Efficient Grip Performance for further details.
