Introducing two of the most popular tyres on the market, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport and the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127. Both are summer season tyres, designed with performance in mind.


The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport boasts a rating of 68% in our tests. This model, manufactured in Germany, excels in dry handling, which makes it a favourite among consumers during summer months. The Goodyear Tyre doesn't have any direct replacement model so far.


On the other hand, the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127 has an impressive rating score of 82%. It's an Ultra-High-Performance (UHP) Tyre, made in South Korea. Used as a first equipment by Audi Q8, SQ8, Porsche Cayenne, and BMW X3, this model shows excellent wet braking performance, making it a reliable choice for those unpredictable summer showers. The Hankook Ventus doesn't have a replacement model till now.


In terms of comparative performance, our test results provide an interesting insight. In the 'Die Reifentester' test, both the Goodyear and the Hankook tyres secured the 4th position among 8 and 9 total tyres in test respectively. In contrast, Autobild positioned the Goodyear and Hankook tyres at 4th and 6th places respectively.


To summarize, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport is a reliable tyre offering good dry handling while the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127, even though comes with an enhanced UHP and excellent wet braking performance. In direct comparison, the Hankook tyre seems to outperform Goodyear because of its higher overall rating and versatility.


Before choosing a tyre, though, it's important you take into account your own specific needs and requirements. While these universal ratings and percentages are certainly useful, the best tyre for you will ultimately depend on your driving style and the conditions in which you typically drive.
