Comparison: Fulda MultiControl vs. Nokian WeatherProof vs. BFGoodrich Advantage

In this analysis, we are comparing two all-round tyre models: the Fulda MultiControl by Fulda and the Nokian WeatherProof by Nokian. Each model brings unique strengths to the table, and independent tyre tests give us a better understanding of their performance.

Made in Finland, the Nokian WeatherProof tyre scored well at position 9 out of 27 in the Autobild test. It demonstrated particular strengths in areas such as aquaplaning - both cross and longitudinal, rolling resistance, and snow performance - braking, handling, and traction. Despite not being the number one tyre in the test, these results are indicative of the Nokian Weatherproof tyre's broad range of capabilities under diverse conditions. Yet, there's still room for improvement when it comes to dry handling, where this model didn't fare as strongly in the ACE test, landing at the 4th position out of 8.

On the other hand, the Fulda MultiControl tyre, although not able to claim any previous models or newer replacements, demonstrated considerable strengths in key areas. In the ACE test, it scored impressively, placing 2nd out of 8. Notably, it performed particularly well in dry handling, snow braking, and snow traction - factors that contribute significantly to its robust allround performance. However, its ranking was not as impressive in the Autobild test, where it found itself in the 13th position out of 27 tyres tested. Similarly to the Nokian WeatherProof, there's still room for the MultiControl to improve, particularly in areas like aquaplaning and rolling resistance.

Based on test results, the Nokian WeatherProof seems to have a slight edge, especially when dealing with wet and snowy conditions. However, the Fulda MultiControl also stands strong, particularly with its impressive dry handling and snow performance.

In conclusion, both the Nokian WeatherProof and the Fulda MultiControl are suitable allround tyres, each with their strengths and room for improvement. Prospective buyers must consider specific driving conditions and priorities when deciding between the two.
