Comparison: Fulda EcoControl HP2 vs. Sava Intensa HP2 vs. Michelin Primacy 4+ vs. Goodyear Efficientgrip 2 SUV

In this comparison, we are looking at two tyres: the Fulda EcoControl HP2 and the Sava Intensa HP2.

The EcoControl HP2 from Fulda is a summer tyre that overall has a strong performance, with our rating being 71%. This tyre outperforms its predecessor, the Fulda EcoControl HP, in terms of efficiency and durability. However, its performance on wet surfaces is not completely balanced. According to AUTOBILD tests, its best features are categorized under exterior noise and cross Aquaplaning, making it perfect for noisy and wet driving conditions and earning it a 20th place out of 53.

In contrast, the Sava Intensa HP2, made by Sava, occupies the 22nd position out of 53 in the AUTOBILD test, scoring slightly below the Fulda. Our team also awarded it a rating of 67%. It is a lighter and more efficient tyre compared to its predecessor, the Sava Intensa HP. Yet, it does show some weaknesses in various areas such as driving safety and its performance on both dry and wet surfaces. On environmental assessments, as well as durability and wear resistance - showing slight weaknesses, it falls behind the EcoControl HP2.

When we look at the ADAC test, the Fulda EcoControl HP2 still outperforms the Sava Intensa HP2, taking the 13th position out of 50 compared to the Sava's 18th.

In summary, both tyres are significant improvements upon their previous models. However, the Fulda EcoControl HP2 shows a stronger performance in a majority of test categories. It has excellent environmental credentials, great endurance and efficiency where the Sava Intensa HP2 suffers due to an imbalance in performance regarding driving safety and its effectiveness on various road conditions. Therefore, while the Sava tyre still presents a decent option, our data suggests that the Fulda EcoControl HP2 may be the better choice.
