Comparison: Firestone Roadhawk vs. Semperit Speed-Life 2 vs. Kumho Ecsta HS52 vs. Michelin Primacy 5

When considering summer tyres, two models dominate many discussions: the Firestone Roadhawk from Firestone and the Semperit Speed-Life 2 from Semperit. However, both have received mixed reviews in tyre tests, highlighting strengths and weaknesses in their design.

The Firestone Roadhawk shows notable performance across many areas. Our review gave it a 59% rating, indicating its balanced attributes and performance. Not only that, the Firestone Roadhawk particularly excelled in the ADAC tyre test, achieving an impressive 4th place out of 16 pools of distinguished tyre models. However, in the Autobild test, this Firestone model fell behind a bit, obtaining only a 13th place out of 53 tested tyres.

On the other hand, the Semperit Speed-Life 2, which has now been replaced by the Semperit Speed-Life 3, managed to capture excellent ratings in some testing parameters but still left room for improvement. Notably, in the ADAC tyre test, this Semperit model achieved a commendable 6th place ranking, just two positions behind the Firestone Roadhawk. However, in the Autobild test, its performance was less impressive, achieving a rank of 30 out of 53 tire models. It's important to mention that Semperit has not released a rating for the Speed-Life 2.

Significantly, when it comes to mutual test positions, the Firestone Roadhawk consistently outperforms the Semperit Speed-Life 2. It seems that the former's design and features deliver a more well-rounded performance according to the tyre tests we've examined.

In conclusion, while both tyres offer good performance, the Firestone Roadhawk stands out with its better ranking in tyre tests. However, given that the Semperit Speed-Life 2 has been replaced with a newer model, the Speed-Life 3, customers might want to consider comparing this latest model with the Firestone Roadhawk. These testing parameters provide valuable insights, but the perfect tyre for you will still depend on your driving style, vehicle specifics, and personal preferences.
