Comparison: Firestone Roadhawk vs. Kumho Ecsta HS52 vs. Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2

1 mutual test(s) with detailed data

Comparing two tyres, the Firestone Roadhawk and the Kumho Ecsta HS52, sheds light on how each performs in several tests.
On one hand, the Firestone Roadhawk fared well in the Autobild and Auto Club CZ reviews, placing 30th out of 51 and 13th out of 19 tyres, respectively. As highlighted by Autobild 2018 and Autobild 2024, the Roadhawk boasts a sporting dynamic handling, efficient, and lightweight capabilities with short dry braking distances. However, it didn't fare quite as well in the ADAC test, where it placed 20th out of 50 tyres, and exhibited poor performance on wet roads. Furthermore, the Roadhawk, produced by Firestone, has been replaced in the Firestone line with a newer model. These tests have awarded this tyre an average ranking of 72%.
On the other hand, the Kumho Ecsta HS52 replaced the previous model Kumho Ecsta HS51. This tyre made a significant impact with substantial performance in dry braking, dry handling, wet braking, and valuable price/ performance balance according to Autobild. In the Autobild 2024 test, the HS52 was praised for its balanced performance on both dry and wet surfaces but got lower scores for its environmental footprint and efficiency. It nevertheless still secured the 3rd position in Autobild's 51 tyre test, the 13th position in Auto Club CZ's 19 tyre test, and 8th position in ADAC's 50 tyre test. Overall, the HS52, which is a summer touring tyre made by Kumho, has received an average rating of 81%.
In conclusion, while both tyres have their merits, the Kumho Ecsta HS52 outshines the Firestone Roadhawk in our overall evaluations and should probably be the tyre of choice for those in the market for new tyres.
