Comparison: Dunlop Sport BluResponse vs. Nexen N Fera Primus

In this post, we will be comparing two summer tyres: the Dunlop Sport BluResponse and the Nexen N Fera Primus.

Both these models hold a respectable position in our rating system with a score of 71%. They have seen extensive testing collectively and individually, giving us a wealth of data to compare these tyres. Remarkably, these tyres perform exceptionally well in the same environmental conditions, nudging each other back and forth for the winning position in various test categories.

When featured in the Autobild test, out of 55 tyres, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse held the 20th position, while the Nexen N Fera Primus secured a higher rank of 11. Similarly in the ADAC test, out of 50 tyres, the Dunlop occupied the 16th position, trailing the Nexen which secured the 10th place. It's clear from these tests that the Nexen N Fera Primus often outperformed the Dunlop Sport BluResponse.

According to Autobild’s 2024 review, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse excels on dry roads and is both efficient and light, but it's slightly unbalanced and has some weaknesses on wet roads. Moreover, it has a relatively low mileage and is noted for its environmental shortcomings.

On the other hand, the Nexen N Fera Primus is lauded for its outstanding braking performance and effective wet handling. However, it does have delayed steering response and limited mileage and financial efficiency.

In summary, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse, manufactured by Dunlop, has positive features such as good performance on dry roads, efficient and light, but some drawbacks are its minor imbalance and performance on wet roads, and its environmental footprint.

The Nexen N Fera Primus, manufactured by Nexen, however, demonstrates good braking performance and wet handling. While it provides delayed steering response and limited mileage and financial efficiency as limitations, it fairs better in tests overall and seems to be the better model according to the given data.

It's worth noting that currently, neither of these models have been replaced with newer models.
