Comparison: Dunlop Sport BluResponse vs. Barum Bravuris 5 HM vs. Michelin e.Primacy vs. Firestone Roadhawk vs. Hankook Ventus Prime 4 vs. Nokian WetProof vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Pirelli P ZERO PZ4

Today, we have two tyres up for comparison: the Dunlop Sport BluResponse and the Barum Bravuris 5 HM. These tyres are summer models and have been tested under diverse conditions to yield results competitive in the vast market of tyre options.

Firstly, looking at the Dunlop Sport BluResponse, this tyre from Dunlop scored an impressive 71% in our rating. It claimed the 4th position in the ADAC test out of 18 entries and ranked 11th in the Autobild test with “Comfort” being its strongest feature. Despite these strengths, it showed minor weaknesses when it came to wet conditions and environmental impact resulting in a relatively low mileage. Yet it compensated with its efficient and lightweight design that was applauded for its performance on dry roads.

The Barum Bravuris 5 HM comes from the renowned maker Barum with a rating of 39% in our tests. In the mutual ADAC test, it occupied the 13th position, indicating fair performance among the tested tyres. The Autobild test saw it rank at position 29 out of 53, showing that while it may not be among the topmost, it manages to hold its ground amidst stiff competition. The Barum Bravuris 5 HM has already been succeeded by the Barum Bravuris 6, which might offer improvements over the 5 HM model.

To summarize, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse and Barum Bravuris 5 HM both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Dunlop tyre provides superior comfort and performance, especially on dry surfaces, despite minor drawbacks with wet roads and environmental impact. The Barum tyre, while not as impressive in the tests, still maintains a respectable position with a newer model expected to bring enhancements. If we were to consider test positions as the decider, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse is the clear winner here.
