Comparison: Debica Presto HP2 vs. Sava Intensa HP2 vs. Nokian WetProof vs. Maxxis Premitra HP5

Today we are looking at two summer tyres, the Debica Presto HP2 and the Sava Intensa HP2. These tyres, produced by Debica and Sava respectively, were both tested on numerous occasions.

The Debica Presto HP2 has an average rating of 79% from our tests. This tyre has proven its worth with its optimal price/value balance according to Autobild test. In terms of ranking, it secured 16th place out of 53 in the Autobild test and held a respectable 7th position in an ADAC evaluation of 18 tyres. A Sportauto 2024 summary underlined its good environmental balance as well as performance in terms of wear and efficiency. However, it did note that it was not entirely balanced, pointing out some weaknesses in driving safety.

On the other hand, we have the Sava Intensa HP2, which has an average rating of 67%. It was praised for being efficient and light by Sportauto 2024. Nevertheless, they also noted that the tyre was not entirely balanced, with weaknesses in driving safety and performance on both wet and dry surfaces. It also fell short in terms of environmental impact, with minor weaknesses in wear and tear. In a direct comparison with Debica Presto HP2, it landed 22nd place out of 53 in the Autobild tests and 12th in the ADAC test, making it slightly less favoured in tests.

It's noteworthy to mention that the Sava Intensa HP2 is the successor to the Sava Intensa HP. However, neither of the tyres have been replaced by a newer model at this time.

To summarise, the Debica Presto HP2 generally performs better in mutual tests and offers advantages in cost-effectiveness, environmental balance, and efficiency. However, drivers may find it less than perfectly balanced. The Sava Intensa HP2, though seen as efficient and lighter, also showed an imbalance with significant downside in overall safety performance and sub-optimal marking in environment respect.

Both tyres serve their purpose well as summer tyres but there are areas of improvement for each. Your choice between the two might hinge on your priorities as a driver.
