Today we will be comparing Continental PremiumContact 7 and Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2, two popular summer tyres from world-renowned manufacturers Continental and Dunlop.

The Continental PremiumContact 7 is our highly-rated touring tyre and it is made in France, Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic. This model followed the lineage of Continental PremiumContact 6 and Continental ContiPremiumContact 5. It demonstrated impressive abilities in aquaplaning, both longitudal and cross, and rolling resistance in the Autobild test. Moreover, it took the first position in the Sportauto and ADAC test excelling in wet and dry handling, braking, and comfort.

On the other hand, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 is an ultra-high-performance tyre known for its decent fuel saving properties attributable to its low rolling resistance. According to our rating, Continental PremiumContact 7 is at an impressive 99% while Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 scores a still respectable 72%. In conclusion, if you're after top-notch performance and handling properties and don't mind paying a bit extra, the Continental PremiumContact 7 seems to be the better choice. But if fuel efficiency is your primary concern, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 might provide a satisfactory performance.
