Comparison: Continental PremiumContact 6 vs. Petlas Imperium PT515 vs. Pirelli P ZERO PZ4

The Continental PremiumContact 6 is an excellent option for a touring and summer tyre. With a rating of 83% on our site, it outperforms its predecessor, the Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 and is made in Germany, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. In tests such as the ADAC and Autobild, it placed first and fourth respectively, outperforming a total of 15 tyres in the former and 53 tyres in the latter. It had particularly strong features in wet braking and wet handling, earning best feature titles in both. As per Ace 2018's test summary, this model can be praised for its high safety level, great performance in both dry and wet conditions and durability, although it has some weaknesses in efficiency. The Continental PremiumContact 6 has been replaced by the newer Continental PremiumContact 7.

On the other hand, the Petlas Imperium PT515 falls short in comparison, scoring only a 48% rating on our site. It's made in Turkey and is also a summer tyre. In the ADAC and Autobild tests, it placed far lower - 14th out of 15 tyres and 35th out of 53 tyres respectively. Its best attribute is its high mileage and low wear as stated in Ace 2018's test summary. However, the Petlas Imperium PT515 has significant drawbacks in wet and dry conditions and in sustainability. Unlike the Continental model, there’s no newer model to replace the Petlas Imperium PT515.

Comparatively, the Continental PremiumContact 6 stands out for its remarkable performance in wet conditions, safety features and balanced handling. But it needs to improve its efficiency. The Petlas Imperium PT515, with its good mileage and low wear is good for a long-term investment but not recommended for high-performance expectation. According to data, the Continental PremiumContact 6 is the better out of the two in overall tests.
