The T005 has consistently showcased strong performance in testing. Most notably, it claimed the top position in the Autobild test, dominated by its dry and wet braking, and wet handling capabilities. Additionally, it placed third and fourth in the Autoklub ČR and ADAC tests respectively, recognized for its impressive rolling resistance and wet cornering performance.
Bridgestone Turanza T005's noted strengths include a balanced drive on both dry and wet roads, high efficiency and a decent environmental footprint. However, the tyre's performance is slightly hindered by its reduced mileage.
Developed by Kumho as a successor to the Ecsta HS51, the Ecsta HS52 has earned an 81% rating on our scale. Although it has not outperformed the Turanza T005 in any of the mentioned tests, it was placed third in Autobild test, excelling in areas such as dry braking and price-value offering. On the downside, it was criticized for its delayed steering response and environmental impact, and lower efficiency and sustainability when compared with the Bridgestone Turanza T005.
After analyzing all the test results, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 appears to be the stronger performer overall. Although the Kumho Ecsta HS52 has commendable qualities and a good price-to-performance ratio, it lags behind in efficiency, environmental impact, and steering response.
