The Bridgestone Turanza T005 is a touring tyre that stands out distinctly in certain tests, such as the Sport Auto, Sportauto 2024, Autobild, and the ADAC test. The Bridgestone Turanza T005's strength lies significantly in aquaplaning, comfort, and wet handling. It also showed excellent performance in dry braking and resistance to rolling. Comparatively, in the Sport Auto test, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 placed 3rd while the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 came in at 5th from a total of 5 tyres tested. In the Autobild test, the Bridgestone and Dunlop secured the 10th and 11th spots respectively out of 53 tyres. From the ADAC perspective, Bridgestone clinched the 4th place, and Dunlop came 6th out of 17. Finally, in the Gute-Fahrt test, Bridgestone placed 6th as compared to Dunlop's 3rd position among 10 tyres in total.
Overall, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 appears to have a slight edge over the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2, both in terms of our overall ratings and their placements in the mutual tests. However, the SP Sport MAXX still holds its ground as a solid choice, particularly for fuel economy and acqua-planning resistance.
