Comparison: Bridgestone Turanza T005 vs. BFGoodrich Advantage vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2 vs. Continental PremiumContact 7

Today's comparison focuses on two summer tyres: Bridgestone Turanza T005 and BFGoodrich Advantage. These tyres are manufactured by Bridgestone and BFGoodrich respectively, and both are praised for their unique strengths.

The Bridgestone Turanza T005, produced in countries such as Hungary, Poland, France, and Italy, receives an excellent rating of 89% in our own assessments. This tyre stands out for its dry braking, wet braking, wet circle cornering, and wet handling capabilities, having secured third place in an ADAC test beating 12 other models. However, the Turanza T005 does not outperform in the noise level, which was noted as being slightly higher. Remarkably though, this Bridgestone model earned the first place in Autozeitung test against nine other models, underscoring this tyre's high performance and efficiency.

On the other hand, the BFGoodrich Advantage competes well in terms of fuel efficiency - one of its best features according to ADAC. However, it struggled in handling and braking when in wet conditions. And while it’s valued for comfort and dry handling, it only managed to claim the 18th spot out of 53 models in an Autobild test and the ninth position in a mutual test with Bridgestone Turanza T005 in Autozeitung. It's also worth noting that details about where this tyre is made are currently not readily available. Incidentally, this tyre has not yet been replaced with a newer model.

Though it may not have been a straight win for the BFGoodrich Advantage, it still performed commendably given it earned a decent rating of 76% on our own tests. Some drivers may prefer it for its strengths in fuel efficiency and comfort, especially if wet performance is less of a concern.

In conclusion, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 and BFGoodrich Advantage offer unique benefits to drivers. The former excels in conditions both wet and dry, while its counterpart does well in dry conditions and offers good fuel efficiency. So, your decision to choose one over the other will deeply depend on personal preference and specific driving conditions.
