Comparison: Bridgestone Turanza 6 vs. Firestone Roadhawk vs. GoodYear Efficientgrip Performance 2 vs. Pirelli P ZERO PZ4

Today we're doing a comparison of two excellent summer tyres: Bridgestone Turanza 6 and Firestone Roadhawk. Both are highly recommended and preferred by a significant number of drivers. Each has its own set of strengths and weaknesses which we'll discuss in detail to help you make the right choice for your driving needs.

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 has been rated 83% by us and is renowned for its comfort and low rolling resistance. Plus, according to Autobild and ADAC's tests, it also showcases secure handling both on wet and dry surfaces, short braking distances, and a very good mileage. However, its economy might still need some improvement. Despite that, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 proved itself by securing the 16th position among 50 tyres in Autobild's tests.

Switching to the Firestone Roadhawk, it landed at 31st position in the same Autobild test. We've rated it 59%, highlighting its dynamic handling, short dry braking distances, and an excellent price-to-performance ratio. However, it does come with a slightly higher rolling noise. The tyre's manufacturer – Firestone hasn't provided a newer model that replaced this tyre or its predecessor so far.

When compared head-to-head, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 appears to edge out the Firestone Roadhawk in overall performance and test results. It's superior in comfort and boasts a lower rolling resistance. However, the Firestone Roadhawk shouldn't be quickly dismissed. It scores well in dry conditions and is extremely competitively priced, making it a viable option for drivers with a tight budget. Its weaknesses in noise and slightly lower rating do, however, need to be considered.

In conclusion, for drivers looking for well-rounded performance and a robust set of features, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is a great choice. But if budget and dry performance are your priorities, you might want to consider the Firestone Roadhawk. Both are solid tyres for summer driving conditions, boasting considerable pros and few cons.

A final note to keep in mind is that a tyre's performance can vary depending on the car, terrain, and driving style. So always consider these factors along with the test results and ratings when choosing your tyres.
