Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2
As for the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2, it has a solid
79% rating from our test results. The tyre ranked higher than its counterpart in both the ADAC and Autobild tests, placing 5th out of 16 and 13th out of 50 respectively. The
ADAC review singled out its Aquaplaning - cross ability as a top feature.
Autobild reviewers praised it for its secure driving properties on wet roads, good Aquaplaning qualities, and short dry braking distance. However, it was noted to display a delayed steering input on dry tracks.
Conclusion
Comparing both tyres, it is evident that they perform relatively well in standard conditions. While the Bridgestone Turanza 6 has the higher general rating, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 fared better in both tests and displays impressive qualities, particularly on wet roads. If Aquaplaning resistance is crucial for you, the Bridgestone tyre might suit you better - but if you prioritize handling and quick responses, the Dunlop model may be more to your liking. Both models do not appear to have been replaced with newer ones, ensuring that their technology remains current.
