The following is a comparison between two summer tyres, the BFGoodrich Advantage and the Continental PremiumContact 7. Both tyres have their unique strengths and weaknesses which we will discuss in detail. The BFGoodrich Advantage tyre performed decently in our tests, receiving an overall rating of 66%. This model has demonstrated a strong performance in terms of comfort, however, under wet conditions, the tyre showed a tendency to understeer. The Continental PremiumContact 7, on the other hand, received a remarkable rating of 97% from our tyre tests. It's a touring type tyre and is primarily produced in France, Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic. According to our tests, the Continental PremiumContact 7 excels in several categories including aquaplaning - longitudinal, rolling resistance, dry and wet braking, and wet circle cornering. It also showed superior performance in dry and wet conditions, achieving the shortest braking distances. Its only downside, however, was noted in the cost section. In comparison tests, such as on Autobild, the Continental PremiumContact 7 generally outperformed the BFGoodrich Advantage. Out of 55 tyres, the PremiumContact was in the first position whereas the BGF Advantage was 18th. This is a clear demonstration of the superior performance of the Continental tyre. In conclusion, while the BFGoodrich Advantage offers decent performance, particularly in comfort and dry handling, it is outperformed by the Continental PremiumContact 7 in almost all categories, making the latter a more optimal choice for a summer tyre.
