Check the pressure with a reliable gauge while the tyres are cold, comparing it with the vehicle handbook or pressure placard. Ask the specialist to inspect the tyre, wheel and valve, and assess whether repair is appropriate. Driving underinflated can cause damage that reinflation does not fix. If the tyre is flat, visibly damaged or cannot maintain the recommended pressure, arrange roadside assistance rather than driving to the workshop.
